Half-day & Full-day Options Max 4 Guests Per Guide Transport IncludedGuided Bali surf trips are fully organised surf adventures led by experienced local guides who know Bali's coastline inside out. Unlike a standard surf lesson at a single beach, a guided surf trip takes you to the right break at the right time — factoring in swell direction, tide, wind, and your skill level. Our team checks the live Bali surf forecast before every session to ensure you are at the best possible spot.
Whether you are an intermediate surfer looking to push your progression or a more seasoned rider hunting uncrowded reef breaks, our guided surf trips in Bali are designed to maximise your time in the water. At 27 Surf Bali, our guides have been surfing this island for years and know exactly where to find quality waves — and when to find them empty.
Why Choose a Guided Surf Trip in Bali?
Bali has over 20 surf breaks spread across the island, from the mellow longboard waves of Kuta and Legian to the fast, hollow barrels of Uluwatu and Padang Padang. Navigating these spots without local knowledge means missed sessions, crowded peaks, and wrong-tide frustration. Our guided Bali surf trips take that guesswork away entirely — making them one of the most rewarding activities Bali has to offer for surfers of any level.
Local Knowledge, Every Session
Our guides surf these breaks daily — tides, crowds, swell windows, and hidden access tracks most visitors never find.Right Wave, Right Level

Surf Spots We Visit
Our guided surf trips in Bali cover a range of breaks suited to different skill levels and conditions. Each spot is assessed on the day based on swell, tide, and wind. Before entering the water at any break, your guide covers rip current awareness and lineup safety. Depending on conditions and your experience, sessions may include:
Kuta & Legian Beach
Long, rolling waves over a sandy bottom. Consistent, forgiving, and accessible — the ideal first guided trip after completing your beginner lessons.
Beginner-Inter
Canggu (Batu Bolong)
Bali's most popular intermediate surf zone. Beach break peaks with both left and right-handers, best at mid to high tide. Vibrant atmosphere, great waves.
Intermediate
Uluwatu
One of the most iconic surf spots in the world. A long left-hander peeling off a cliff-base reef. Our guides time the cave entry perfectly and find you the right section.
Intermediate–Advanced
Padang Padang
A short, fast barrel best surfed on a bigger south swell. For confident surfers ready to step into more challenging territory. Requires correct timing — your guide knows when it's on.
Advanced
Balangan
A relaxed left-hander with a long shoulder — excellent for surfers who want length and flow over power. Less crowded than Uluwatu and a stunning location.
Intermediate
Medewi, West Bali
The longest wave in Bali. A classic point break where a single ride can take you 200 metres down the line. Perfect for nose-riding and drawn-out turns. Full-day trip from Kuta.
